Colleen Durfee


Colleen Durfee is a 2016-2017 Graduate Student Fellow.

Colleen Durfee is a student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill pursuing her Masters of City and Regional Planning in the Land-Use and Environmental Planning Specialization. She comes from Ohio where she graduated from The Ohio State University studied economic and political geography. At UNC Chapel Hill, she specializes in land-use and environmental planning because but more specifically, post-disaster financial recovery at the household scale. Post-graduation, Colleen hopes to advise coastal planning processes and reform the financial legislation to provide a better integrated system of financial recovery mechanisms for disaster victims.
