Carly Hoffman

Carly Hoffman is a 2016-2017 Graduate Student Fellow.

Carly Hoffmann is a first-year Master’s student in the Department of City and Regional Planning at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, specializing in housing and community development. She is also a co-editor of the Carolina Planning Journal. Prior to coming to UNC, Carly worked in New York as a book editor for, where she edited non-fiction Kindle Singles, and in communications for Queens, NY-based community development organization Urban Upbound. Carly earned her B.A. in urban studies from Columbia University.


The UNC Center for Community Capital conducts research and policy analysis on ways to make financial services work better for more people and communities.
